Position Available - Chief Estimator     

Tyler Mechanical is looking to add a senior member to our Estimation Department team. We have been in business since 1968; and currently employ 200 team members.

The following criteria is considered critical for employment in this position:

Trade and Industry Experience - We are searching for a candidate that has been in the Mechanical and Plumbing industry for a minimum of 15years. A combination of field and office experience would be considered a strong attribute. Candidates with only office experience will still be considered for the position.

Specific Estimation Career Experience - Candidates being considered should have at least ten years of hands on estimation preparation experience. Three years experience as a direct report to a Department Manager, or have held a senior management position within the last three years.

Specific Industry and Knowledge Experience -
1. Familiar with the Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia private market place.
2. Familiar with contractors, owners and engineers operating in our market place.
3. Familiar with subcontractors and vendors serving our market place.

Day to Day Operational and Technical Experience - The applicant must have the following:
1. Ability to run an automated estimation system
2. Participate in business sales development and production meetings twice a month
3. Capable of organizing resources and preparing complete estimates that range from $1 to $12 million dollars ($60 million plus sold and produced annually).
4. Communicating regularly with current or potential customers as it relates to the complete bid process
5. Attending scoping or bid review meetings with current or new client
6. Capable of closing a sales opportunity or bid
7. Facilitate project turnover meetings between estimation, project management and field production

Additional Job Requirements During or After 7:30am - 5:00pm:

3. Customer luncheons, events or PR gatherings
4. Subcontractor and vendor luncheons, events or industry gatherings
